Lately, after prayers, Maddie has been saying, "amen...
not a monkey!" I laughed (and I shouldn't have) when I realized that she was telling us that we are supposed to say "a men" after prayers, and we are not supposed to say "a monkey". How did she come up with this idea?

Could be she got that from the video in the previous post cuz the Elton John wannabe singer is a monkey. That was great! I love your blog Cheryl!!!
Video with the monkey is a possibility. Does she have prayer time with just John ever? I wonder if he's had to remind her to say 'amen' and to do so told the kids that whoever said 'amen' last was a monkey. Outrageous I know...but that's what I came up with.
So excited the family party is coming up so soon!
To a three year old, the words "Amen" and "A Monkey" sound similar. So to her, it made perfect sense to say that.
