We're still here

Yes, we are still here. Things are moving along, but they are moving more slowly than anyone anticipated. We are very anxious to move, but we are glad that we didn't jump the gun and pack everything up yet. We are just waiting on paperwork and for the banks to transfer money from the sell of our house. Now we are just focusing on enjoying our friends and our ward and even our house--all of which we will miss dearly.
In the mean time I have been trying to take some time for a walk after dinner every night now that the weather is nicer. Hannah usually comes with me so that she can ride her bike. It is during these one-on-one times that I realize how completely random and sweet are the thoughts of a seven year old. Here are the topics we covered in our time together:
*a complete inventory of each friend who has broken an arm and how.
*How the name Beatrice looks like Beet Rice.
*what kinds of gross foods you could serve at a scary Halloween party
*what it means when somebody says you are HOT.
*how funny it would be if instead of having shirts labeled XLG for extra large, they were labeled RLG for ridiculously large.
*how much more fun it is to say the word "sclap" instead of the word "scalp."
...and many more that I can't even remember. I sure love these times with her--she makes me smile.

What a good listener you are! It's great to repect 7-year-olds and not be lecturing all the time. Something I could remember with my soon-to-be-16-year-old. - Rhonda

Take a picture with your family in front of your house before you move. Then they will always have the memory of what that old house looked like.
